GEN III PC Simulator

 

The Windows-based simulator provides realistic simulation of the FRDS GEN III system operation and various failure conditions on the AT-802F. It also includes a “resource library” that provides easy access to the GEN III support documentation, training videos, action videos, websites, etc.

You can download the simulator files from Google Drive or you can find the download file and program documentation in our Documentation section under Documents/Product Documentation/FRDS GEN III Documentation/PC Simulator & Resource Library Install Files.

The brief training videos included in the resource library do a good job of covering almost all the operational aspects of the fire-gate system. These videos are also available over on our YouTube channel.

Functions

The simulator provides the following functionality: simulation of GEN III systems, failure simulation, operation simulation, key menu emulation, training workbook, embedded resource library for video links / ICA / Op manuals, and operations in normal / failure conditions. System requirement for the simulator is a Windows 10 compatible computer.

There are a lot of videos, support documentation, and other great stuff in the resources section of the simulator. We hope you will utilize these resources to learn more about the GEN III system and firefighting operations.

SIMULATOR / RESOURCE LIBRARY INSTALLATION
To install the simulator on your Windows 10 based machine, please follow the steps below.

  1. Download the simulator executable from the link above. If warned by Windows, download it anyway.

  2. Click on the Executable file that is downloaded to your “Downloads” directory.

  3. Install the program.

    1. When it asks you if it’s safe, selected MORE info then, select RUN ANYWAY.

    2. The GEN III simulator will be installed.

RESOURCE LIBRARY SCREENS
To check out the videos, system support documentation, and other resources do the following:

  • Launch the GEN III simulator application.

  • From the top tab select DOCUMENTS > Resource Library.

  • There are a lot of items of interest.

    • Select “Other Video” radio button at the bottom of the GEN 3 Resource page to show only videos.

    • The AeroTech aircraft/fisheye lens videos have some nice coverage one drops made at roughly 105 knots.

      • First AeroTech video shows a drop at 0:51.

      • Second AeroTech video shows a partial drop at 1:04 and another partial drop at 1:58.

    • The video brochure also is pretty good since it gives a good overview of the system and has some good video.

  • Select the “Training Video” radio button to see our “shorts” video training series for the GEN III system.
